Biker's Charity Night - Wednesday 24 June 2009Our second charity bikers night was a greater success than last years event, which raised just over £1,000.00 for The Stroke Association.
Over 200 bikes attended the event, including around 50 which set off from our Scarborough garden centre as part of an organised ride by Kilham Wednesday Night Bikers.
There were various fundraising features such as a tombola, food and drink from the Coffee Shop, whose staff donated their wages from the evening, an auction for a set of bikers leathers and Dick Craven kindly opened his museum across the road which has over 250 classic and vintage bikes on display. There was also prizes for those in attendance for Best Classic Bike and Best Modern Bike.
An enjoyable night was had by all and a grand total of £1,478.62 was raised from the evening which will go to our Charities of the Year. A big thank you to all those who helped make the evening a great success. |
