Planting
If weather conditions remain favourable continue planting Roses, Shrubs, Conifers and Soft Fruit.

Cuttings
Take hard wood cuttings of a wide range of plants including Cornus, Forsythia, Philadelphus, Ribes, Gooseberries, Black and White Currants.

Frost Damage
Make sure any terracotta pots that are left outside all winter are raised off the ground for proper drainage and thereby preventing frost damage.

Greenhouses
Insulate the greenhouse with bubble wrap to conserve heat.

Ponds
Use a pond heater to prevent the surface of the water from completely icing over.

General
Continue winter digging of borders and vegetable patches if the soil is still workable.

Any plants been over-wintered in the greenhouse should be inspected on a regular basis for signs of pest or disease.
