Snowy Mespilus Category: Shrub
(Deciduous) A superb small tree suitable for the smallest garden. The white star shaped flowers are produced in profusion in late April-May, these are followed by small black berries. The foliage takes on brilliant reds and oranges in the autumn months.

Berberis x darwinii

Category: Shrub (Evergreen) This plant is covered in bright orange flowers in late spring. These are followed by unusual blue-black berries. The spiny evergreen foliage makes this a very useful hedging plant that responds well to cutting. Grows well in most soil types, does best in a sunny site.

Choisya ternata

Mexican Orange Blossom Category: Shrub (Evergreen) Shiny bright green foliage gives off a spicy aroma when disturbed. The pure white flowers are produced in April and are wonderfully, sweetly orange blossom scented. They require some protection from cold winds, they are tolerant of sun or part shade in most soil types.

Leopards Bane Category: Perennial Compact form with large yellow daisy flowers produced throughout April. Likes a sunny site and well drained soils.

Bleeding Heart Category: Perennial Pink flowers from late April-June. Likes well drained soil in sun or light shade.
