Staff Quiz NightOn Monday 5th October at York's Garden Centre, teams of staff got their thinking caps on to do a quiz night to raise funds for the charities of the year. The evening started with a game of stand-up bingo, where everyone had to stand up and once a number from their bingo card was called out had to sit back down again, the last person standing won a small cash prize.
This was then followed by a picture quiz of "Name the Davids" in which everyone had to guess the surnames of the 20 pictured famous Davids. Round 1 of the quiz then commenced of an Entertainment and Music round, followed by a short interval for supper and drinks with another 2 picture quizzes to do, then back to the second round of Sport and General Knowledge.
A grand total of £337.00 was raised from the evening which included the entry fee, bingo tickets and raffle.
A further £98.00 was raised from our prize draw grid which was displayed in the Garden Centre shop to win a planted houseplant arrangement of which a Mrs Blanchard of York won.
