Eranthis Hyemalis (Winter Aconite) – A member of the Buttercup family that grows to approximately 10cm in height, providing bright yellow flowers surrounded by leafy bracts in late Winter. Ideal to be grown as a carpet under trees and shrubs.
Helleborus Niger – A Winter to early Spring flowering perennial with white cup shaped flowers from January to March. Ideally planted in a shaded area with moist, well-drained soil. They are hardly and reliable and will give you flowers year after year!
Jasminum Nudiflorum (Winter Jasmine) – A cheery shrub that provides you with bright yellow flowers throughout Winter and bright evergreen stems, perfect for training against walls, but make sure you tie in the shoots as it doesn’t twine like other Jasmines. Grow in a well-drained soil in a sheltered position in sun or partial-shade.
